Traveling to Costa Rica will imply you needing a passport, but not a visa and getting one is not as difficult as you could imagine. The steps are simple.

This process can take around 6 to 8 weeks once all your documents have been handed in. There is a way to make a more expedited process, however it does have an additional fee, to be sure to ask. The expedited option usually takes around 2-3 weeks.

Another document that you will need to have with you is a copy of a valid ID (it could be your driver´s license or a valid government ID).

After this step, you will need to fill out the form DS-11. In order to fill it out properly, you can either fill it out online and then print it or, print it and then fill the information out by hand. It must Have the forms completed but not signed. have the forms filled out and physical to take with all your other documents.
