Meet our Prosthodontists: Dr. Carolina Cespedes and Dr. Carlos Sevilla

Dr. Carolina Cespedes, DDS, MS, FACP

Dr. Cespedes is the only American Board-Certified Prosthodontist practicing in all of Costa Rica.

She was an owner and lead clinician of two ClearChoice Dental
Implant Centers
in the Seattle area for five years.

In the past 10 years, she has completed more than 2,000 All-on-Four cases, (full mouth restorations on implants) and rehabilitated more than 10,000 implants.

Her career also includes three years teaching at Baylor College of Dentistry while practicing in Dallas, Texas.

She received her Degree in Dentistry from the University of Costa Rica and her Master’s of Science – Prosthodontics – from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Additionally, she is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics and carries an active dental license in the states of Washington, California, and Texas.

She is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Dr. Carlos Sevilla, DDS, MS

In addition to his years of experience as a dentist and prosthodontist, Dr. Sevilla was an Assistant Clinical Professor at Baylor College of Dentistry for a year before becoming a clinical professor in graduate prosthodontics at Universidad de Costa Rica, a role which he still holds in addition to his role as Lead Clinician at Star Dental.

Throughout his time as an educator, Dr. Sevilla has taught both implant techniques to college students and basic oral health to public schools. He has done over six months of clinical community service. 

Dr. Sevilla has owned and operated his own dentistry clinic in Costa Rica since 2017.

All received from the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Sevilla possesses a Degree in Dentistry, a Master’s in Oral Biology, and a Specialty in Prosthodontics. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics and of Colegio de Cirujanos Dentistas de Costa Rica.

He is fluent in both Spanish and English.
