Initial Call: Meeting the Star Team
Our dental implant process starts with a call that will be with our Patient Advisor who will give you a brief introduction to our team, the clinic and the different treatments we can offer. Our Patient Advisor is a US trained nurse that will assist with your care and will have no trouble fielding any questions you might have on treatments, travel or financing. We want to earn your trust, so this process is about you getting to know us. We also understand that this may be new to you, so we’ll make sure to take you through the process step-by-step.
Preliminary Assessment: Free Consultation
We will provide you a no-hassle, free initial assessment. For this, we will need panoramic x-rays (we can tell you how to get these if you don’t have them already), some pictures of your smile and your clinical history (if you have it – it’s good to have but not essential).
Within 24 hours, we will use this information to provide a preliminary treatment plan and estimated cost. You’ll then be able to compare our treatment plan against any quotes you have from US Clinics. We’re confident that we will be able to offer big savings even with the same US certified materials and procedures.
Booking your Travel: Come’on Down
Once you are comfortable with the preliminary plan and we have answered any questions you may have, we will help you book your travel to Costa Rica. We can help with flights, hotels and ground transportation. We can even help you obtain your passport if you don’t already have one.
Once in Costa Rica, we will you provide you the final treatment plan after completing the 3D CT Scan at our clinic. Our US trained lead clinician will talk you through the plan step-by-step and answer any questions before you decide to proceed. We promise to be transparent and honest when discussing your options.
Your treatment plan may call for individual implants or an “All-On-Four”/”Hybrid” solution. Depending on your bone quality and quantity we may recommend a bone graft before implant placement – our surgeon can do this for you if it’s needed. Our team will then place the individual implants to provide the anchor for your new teeth. Some patients will require extractions of your damaged teeth before the implants are placed. If so, our team will do this for you but it may mean that more than one clinic visit may be needed.
Once the implants are placed, we will provide you with a temporary denture that is meant to last a few months before the permanent one is placed.
We will wait 4-6 months for the implants to settle in (osseo-integration stage), and make sure they are ready to take your final implants. We will guide you on the do’s and dont’s during this stage. While this may feel like a long time, it’s important that these are strong enough to ensure your new smile is truly permanent.
You are now ready for your permanent smile! We will have you come down one last time to place the final dentures (porcelain, acrylic or zirconia). It is no understatement to say that your life will change. Your new smile will give you regained confidence for work and life.
Post Procedure Checkups
We will give you a guide on how to care for your new smile. We recommend a checkup 6 months after your final visit and yearly afterwards for the first three years. These can be done with your local clinician or we will be glad to see you again at our clinic.
